Maoists on rampage again, kill abducted policeman in Odisha

In less than a week after the Maoists ended their long kidnapping drama by releasing the Sukma district collector, they killed assistant sub-inspector in Odisha Nuapara area. Assistant sub-inspector Kriparam Majhi was kidnapped a few kilometers from the CRPF camp.

Senior police officials said Nuapara group of Maoists abducted Majhi at 11.45, which was escorted by water tanker CRPF camp. The incident took place Dharmabandha area, just five kilometers from the C/215 CRPF battalion from Goudha. He was Dharmabandha-charge of the police outpost.

His body was later found 25 kilometers away from the spot he was siepattiin.Konstaapeli, who was involved in Majhi, however, managed to escape.

CRPF camp near the Sunabeda sanctuary is Odisha-Chhatisgarh border, is considered a paradise for Main Puri distribution of the Maoists from Chhattisgarh.
